これがMichael Holroyd, A Strange Eventful HistoryとNina AuerbachのEllen Terryと組み合わせて紹介してある。後者はテリーの独特の書簡文体に"a feminist virtue"を読み込んでいると。

とりあえず集めたのがスゴイ。脚注はまだまだ、という評価。しかもインデックスがない、と。

Even when the notes do contain relevant facts they can be confusing, since one and the same person may have two or more separate biographical entries, each augmenting and sometimes even contradicting the other.

ただこのあたりは出版社側の問題なのではないかという指摘。
